Highlight

Located in the hustle-bustle backpackers' area but this place still has the tranquility and simplicity of Saigon in the late 20th century. The shop has a rather modest space in which it retains the architecture features of an old house with flowered ceramic tiles, wooden tables and hand-painted signboard. Decorative objects used to be familiar with every Vietnamese family. Visitors can enjoy mellow melodies from an old cassette.

Experience

You are welcomed like an old friend and served simple and popular snacks to Saigon's kids in the old days, such as roasted peanuts, salted dried apricots... in a cabinet in the middle of the room. On the upstairs, there is a bookshelf full of Hoa Hoc Tro magazine from the 2000s, a bed covered with sedge mat and dep to ong sandals, all of which make it feel like a mini museum.

Tips

- There is no wifi nor air conditioner. 5000VND discount for customers who do not use their cellphones.
- The best time to take pictures is before 09:00.
